## Overview

BDO Unibank, Inc. (PSE: BDO) is the Philippines' largest bank by assets, loans, and deposits, with total assets of about ₱5.4 trillion at end-2025. Part of the SM Group controlled by the Sy family, BDO is a full-service universal bank offering consumer and corporate banking, lending, payments, remittances, investments, insurance, and wealth/private banking through one of the country's most extensive branch and ATM networks. It traces its roots to Acme Savings Bank (1968), was acquired by the SM Group in 1976, and merged with Equitable PCI Bank in 2007.
