## Overview

MarCoPay (Maritime Community Pay) is a BSP-licensed e-money platform built for Filipino seafarers and their families. Its dual-currency e-wallet lets crew receive digital salaries onboard, convert currencies, send remittances, make zero-fee peer-to-peer transfers, and access loans, insurance, investments and an in-app e-market. Founded in 2019 by Japanese shipping line NYK and the Transnational Diversified Group (TDG), it later drew investments from Marubeni Corporation and MUFG Bank.
