## Overview

Union Bank of the Philippines, Inc. (UnionBank; PSE: UBP) is an Aboitiz-led universal bank founded in 1968 and headquartered in Pasig City. A pioneer of digital banking in the Philippines, it serves millions of customers through platforms such as UnionBank Online and the New EON app, and reported total assets of roughly ₱1.14 trillion in 2025. In 2022 it acquired Citibank Philippines' consumer banking business. Its group includes digital-only UnionDigital Bank, fintech/open-finance arm UBX, and thrift bank CitySavings. UnionBank champions financial inclusion under its "Tech Up Pilipinas" advocacy.
