## Overview

Wise (formerly TransferWise) is a global cross-border money platform that launched in the Philippines in May 2024 through its BSP-licensed entity, Wise Pilipinas, Inc. Filipinos can open a Wise Account to receive money from abroad in 20+ currencies, hold and convert 40+ currencies at the mid-market rate, and spend in 160+ countries with the Wise card. Customers can send pesos to local banks and e-wallets including GCash, Maya, GrabPay and ShopeePay. Wise has direct access to InstaPay and a BSP settlement account. Globally it serves over 13 million customers and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
