    Overview

UBX is the fintech venture studio and open-finance platform spun out of UnionBank of the Philippines (Aboitiz Group), operating since 2018. It builds embedded-finance infrastructure that lets enterprises, MSMEs, and financial institutions offer digital payments, lending, and banking-as-a-service. Its core products are Bux (an end-to-end payment gateway for merchants), SeekCap (a same-day-approval MSME lending marketplace), and i2i (an open-finance/BaaS network connecting rural banks and banking agents). UBX is a BSP-registered Operator of Payment System and has served over 250,000 businesses; Japan's SBI Holdings holds a ~16.67% stake.
