What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

    Who we are

fintech.ph is an independent directory of Philippine fintech companies. We decide how the personal information collected on this site is used, and we handle it under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

    What we collect

    • Forms. When you list a company, contact us or message us about a listed company: your name, email, company and what you write.
    • Newsletter. Your email address and when you subscribed, confirmed or unsubscribed. We also record whether each Weekly Brief is opened and which of its links are clicked.
    • Site usage. Google Analytics records the pages you visit, your device and browser, your approximate location and the site that sent you.
    • Security. To stop spam, forms keep a scrambled version of your IP address that changes every day. We don't store your actual IP address with what you send.

    How we use it

    • To review listings, answer messages and keep profiles accurate.
    • To send the Weekly Brief, only after you confirm your email.
    • To see how many readers open the Weekly Brief and which stories and links they find useful, and to tell sponsors how many readers clicked their link. Sponsors get totals only, never your email or who clicked.
    • To see which pages are useful and improve the site.
    • To keep the site and its forms secure.

We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

    Who handles it

We use these providers to run the site. They process information for us and not for their own purposes.

    • Supabase: database and forms
    • Resend: email delivery
    • Google: Analytics and Search Console
    • Cloudflare: hosting and security

Some of them store data outside the Philippines. If you message us about a listed company, we may share your message with that company so it can reply.

    Company profiles

Profiles are built from public sources and from what companies send us, and may name founders and executives in their business roles. To correct or remove something, use the contact form.

    How long we keep it

    • Form messages: up to two years after we last hear from you.
    • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your address and the date, so we don't email you again.
    • Analytics: up to 14 months.
    • Newsletter opens and link clicks: up to 14 months.

    Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Send requests through the contact form. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the National Privacy Commission.

    Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits. We don't use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out add-on.

    Security

The site uses encrypted connections, and only we can read form messages and subscriber lists. No system is completely secure, so if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.

    Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
