CARD Pioneer Microinsurance Inc. (CPMI) is one of the Philippines' first non-life microinsurance companies, established in 2013 as a joint venture between CARD MRI (Center for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mutually Reinforcing Institutions) and Pioneer Insurance. CPMI designs affordable, pro-poor microinsurance covering calamity, agriculture, personal accident and income-loss risks for underserved Filipino families, farmers and microentrepreneurs. Distributed through CARD MRI's nationwide microfinance network, its model is cited globally by CGAP and the ILO as a financial-inclusion benchmark.
