    Overview

Coins.ph is the Philippines' largest BSP-regulated crypto wallet and exchange, with about 18 million registered users. Founded in 2014, it lets Filipinos buy, sell and use digital currencies, pay bills and send remittances. It is a BSP-licensed Virtual Asset Service Provider and Electronic Money Issuer (and the first VASP granted an Advanced EPFS license). In 2024 it launched PHPC, the first BSP-regulated Philippine-peso stablecoin. Acquired by Gojek in 2019, the company was bought out in 2022 by a group led by CEO Wei Zhou (former Binance CFO) with Joffre Capital, and is now privately held.
