Etiqa Philippines (Etiqa Life and General Assurance Philippines, Inc.) is a composite life and general insurer and the Philippine arm of Malaysia's Etiqa, part of the Maybank group. Known for a digital-first, insurtech-driven approach, it distributes affordable embedded micro-insurance through GCash (GInsure phone protection), Shopee and Lazada via a partnership with insurtech Igloo — generating roughly 7 million gadget-protection policies on Shopee in 2022. Products span life, health, gadget, travel, motor and group insurance. Formerly AsianLife (founded 1958), it was acquired by Maybank in 2015 and rebranded Etiqa in 2019.
